About the Author

Melissa Perlman studied Tibetan Buddhism in Asia for more than six years and owned a restaurant in Tokyo that served healthy California cuisine. Friends for eight years, in 2002, Melissa and Erica Gragg founded the Amansala Eco–Chic Resort and Bikini Boot Camp in 2002, and it now boasts more than 3,000 guests per year.
