Author Essay

Most people say that the writing in THE MUMMY is not up to Anne Rice’s ability. However, I think there is a certain eloquence to its simplicity. The story has elements of romance, lust, macabre and a tragic hero figure.  All the while you are transported to another time and place in history that is so typically Anne Rice. If you have never read Anne Rice, THE MUMMY is a good place to start.
