About the Author
Stan Taubman, D.S.W., is a clinical social worker trained in psychotherapy at the U.C.L.A. Neuropsychiatric Institute. He is in private practice in Berkeley, California, and has taught at major universities throughout the state. His eclectic twenty-five-year practice includes specialized work with domestic violence, sexual assault, life-threatening illness, and the effects of chemical dependency on families. His professional publications have addressed self-esteem, male-female relationships, family violence, sexual assault, and phrenophobia–the irrational fear of losing one’s mind. Dr. Taubman’s current work draws on this diverse exposure to the human condition and synthesizes his interests in psychotherapy and spirituality.
