Liane Enkelis
About the Author
Liane Enkelis is a freelance photographer and the author of two books, On Being 100: 31 Centenarians Share Their Remarkable Lives and Wisdom and On Our Own Terms: Portraits of Women Business Leaders. She has worked as a freelance photographer since 1974, specializing in photographing people in their environment.
Her work has been published regularly published in national magazines, including: Business Week, Islands, Forbes, Electronic Business, Smithsonian Magazine, U. S. News & World Report, New York Times Sunday Magazine, Black Enterprise, and special publications of the National Geographic Society. Her cover credits include: Americana, Business Week, Islands, Electronic Business, and National Geographic World. In 1986, she photographed the election of Philippine President Corozon Aquino and the fall of Ferdinand Marcos for U. S. News & World Report. She also photographs for brochures, customer and employee publications, and annual reports for corporate clients.
Ms. Enkelis earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Southern California. She taught photojournalism at San Jose State University for six semesters.
