Willingham has worked as a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, St. Edward’s University, and others, teaching developmental biology, physiology, human anatomy, ecotoxicology, and genetics. Her writing has appeared in Forbes, Slate, the Washington Post, American Scientist, the San Francisco Chronicle, and many other publications.
