James Tabor
About the Author
James M. Tabor is the bestselling author of The Deep Zone, Blind Descent, and Forever on the Mountain, and is a winner of the O. Henry Award for Best Short Fiction of the Year. A former Washington, D.C., police officer and a lifelong extreme adventure enthusiast, Tabor has written for Smithsonian, Time and Outside magazine, where he was also a contributing editor. He wrote and hosted the PBS series The Great Outdoors and was co-creator and executive producer of Journey to the Center of the World for the History Channel. He was born in Virginia, raised in Connecticut, and lives in Vermont. He has an MFA from Johns Hopkins University.
