1.   Early in the story, Constance attends yoga speed dating. Have you ever attended a group dating event or blind date? Was it fun or a catastrophe?

2.   Constance struggles with a low sense of self-worth stemming from her childhood. Did you have any childhood experiences that have followed you into adulthood and impacted your life?

3.   Constance feels most at home with animals, and in particular, dogs that have been discarded. Do you have any animals, and if so, what do they bring into your life?

4.   When Constance receives her first note back from J, who did you think was writing her, and why? Would you have written back?

5.   In her relationship with Hayden, Constance gives up pieces of herself. Have you ever done this in a relationship, and if so, how did you reclaim yourself?

6.   Hayden lied to Constance about his family and net worth. Do you think his actions were immoral, unfair, or justified? What about her lie about her father?
