Ms. Bernice! Emergency! We need you here in Classroom B!
No mess is too sticky for Ms. Bernice to handle. At the end of the day, she’s called one more time, to the auditorium… is this another emergency? Or something a little more fun? Hint: the story takes place on October 2, which happens to be Custodial Appreciation Day.
A school is an entire community of its own, but many of its members never get celebrated. Chelsea Lin Wallace and Thyra Heder’s School Heroes series shines the spotlight on the helpers; in this book, the person who keeps the school clean, comfortable and safe. Readers will be inspired to take a little better care of shared spaces, to help out their own Ms. Bernice—and enjoy a cameo from the bus driver star of the first School Heroes book, On Our Way with Mr. Jay!
