A must read for fans of Uketsu (Strange Pictures) and Sesuji (About a Place in the Kinki Region), an unnerving collection of six short stories that unsettle you in face of death. Placed 11th in the “Kono Horror ga Sugoi!” list in Japanese literature in 2024.
“I’m just scared… of falling into hell.”
A peculiar roof-top amusement park. A stone monument by the mountain road. A 23 minute and 45 second film. A guide for cultivating plants. The corpse of a ghost. The sounds echoing through an elevator.
Each story peeks through a veil, descending into the next, evoking the most primal human fear… Death.
