Ben Green has spent his life looking for somewhere quiet to think. To think about climate change, collapse, and gardening. After a brush with Green politics and a 15-year sabbatical of well-paid jobs in IT and Media, he accidentally bought a crumbling military barracks in rural Germany. Here he has built a Radically Authentic life centred on self-sufficiency and deep conversations. Through his work on the Collapse Laboratory and his reader-loved newsletter, he spends his time exploring Happy Doomerism – the personal, political, and philosophical implications of climate breakdown.

Ben has a commitment from David Wallace-Wells, author of The Uninhabitable Earth, to write a foreword.
