About the Author
Valeria Luiselli is a novelist and non-fiction writer. She is the author of Faces in the Crowd, Sidewalks, The Story of My Teeth, and Tell Me How It Ends. Twice nominated for both the Kirkus Prize and the NBCC Award, she is the two-time winner of an L.A. Times Book Prize, a recipient of the National Book Foundation “5 under 35” award, and the Bearing Witness Fellowship from the Art for Justice Fund. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Granta, and McSweeney’s, among other publications, and has been translated into more than twenty languages. She lives and teaches in New York City.
