Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo (1907–1954) was a remarkable artist who explored her identity through deeply personal work. During her lifetime, she painted 55 self-portraits out of a total of 143 paintings, remarking that “I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.”
