About the Author

Since the age of five Rebecca dreamed of being an illustrator, fed on a diet of picture books. Her ambition was realized after gaining a first class Honours degree from Liverpool when she was accepted at The Royal College of Art to study Illustration . Half way through the course she was spotted in Paris at a Children’s book expo by a French agent. She has since worked all over the world for numerous clients but this is her first Children’s book, which finally fulfills her childhood ambition. She is now represented by agents in Paris, New York, and London.

Rebecca paints in watercolor, and bases her characters on the people she meets and sees on her daily travels into work on the underground. She used to paint on newsprint until one day she looked back at some old work and it had all faded. She learned her lesson and now works on acid free cartridge paper.

She lives in South London but works from a studio in East London which is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. She likes tea very much and drinks at least five cups a day.
