Kathleen Belew is an author, historian, and teacher. Her first book, Bring the War Home, explores how white power activists fueled domestic terrorism by creating a social movement around a common story about betrayal by the government, war, and its weapons. Belew has discussed her work widely in the media, appearing, for instance, on Fresh Air, The Rachel Maddow Show, AC 360 with Anderson Cooper, Frontline, and All Things Considered. Her research has featured prominently in documentaries. And, she is a frequent public speaker, appearing at venues such as the Westminster Town Hall Forum, Imagine Solutions, the Tamiment Library. Belew is a tenured professor of history at Northwestern University. She was born and raised in the Denver suburbs.
