Barbara Brown Taylor is the New York Times bestselling author of An Altar in the World, Learning to Walk in the Dark, and Holy Envy. An Episcopal priest and Professor Emerita at Piedmont College, she was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, On Being, NPR, and more. She has taught at Emory University, Mercer University, Columbia Seminary, Oblate School of Theology, and at the Arrendale State Prison for Women. She lives on a farm in Habersham County, Georgia.
