Daniel Altman
Daniel Altman left Harvard with a doctorate in economics and became a bestselling author whose career has spanned media, academics, government, consulting, sports, and technology. He has been an economics columnist for The New York Times, The Economist, and Foreign Policy, where he was also senior editor for economics. He is also the author of four books on economics and economic policy, including the international bestseller Outrageous Fortunes. Daniel has worked as an economic advisor to the British government, an adjunct professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business, the first director of thought leadership at Dalberg, and the first chief economist at Instawork. He has also advised several Premier League soccer clubs and USA Olympic teams on analytics and strategy. Based in New York, he writes the High Yield Economics newsletter, is a seed investor in several startups, and sits on the board of Calgary Wild Football Club.
