Lauren Krouse is a journalist who covers domestic violence, trauma, and mental health. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Women’s Health, SELF Magazine, USA Today, Parents, Medscape, and elsewhere. Throughout her career, she’s reported on supporting survivors during the pandemic, coercive control legislation, economic abuse, domestic violence in healthcare workers, and the future of trauma therapy. Lauren holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from the College of Charleston and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from UNC-Wilmington. She writes and works in Raleigh, North Carolina.
