About the Author
Matthew Johnson has more than 20 years of experience working with children, young people, and their families. He completed a PhD at Keele University on parenting stress in fathers before undertaking clinical training. Johnson has a particular interest in the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties experienced by children and young people with disabilities. In addition to his work with families in the community, Johnson leads a school-based service for students attending special schools. He has served on the committee of the Faculty for Children and Young People, a member network of the British Psychological Society’s Division of Clinical Psychology.
