Education: King George High School; B.A. in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia; M.A. in English Literature from Georgetown University, Washington, DC


Current home: I live in Washington, DC with my husband Christopher David


Fun Jobs: Previous jobs include working in 18th century costume for Colonial Williamsburg and "slinging french fries" at King’s Dominion, a theme park in Virginia.


Pets: 8 gerbils and 36 fish


Favorite hobbies: travel and reading


Favorite foods: peanut butter, peaches, and this hodge-podge vegetable soup I make that my family calls "hinky-dinky"


Favorite clothes to wear: baggy t-shirts and shorts and sneakers that are so old they feel as soft as slippers


Favorite colors: green, blue, red


Favorite books: As a child–The Dog on Barkham Street by Mary Stolz and Greengage Summer by Rumer Godden. As an adult, favorite authors are William Faulkner, Toni Morrison, Elizabeth, Carole Maso, Mark Richard
