Joan Holub is the New York Times–bestselling author and illustrator of more than 140 children’s books, including Breakout at the Bug Lab, Who Was Babe Ruth?, and the Goddess Girls series. Prior to publishing her first title in 1992, she was an associate art director at Scholastic.

Hiroe Nakata has illustrated many books for children with her cheerful and delightful watercolors. For Snow Happy!, she researched her own neighborhood’s parks, trees, and wildlife during snowfalls, and the local children in colorful knits were inspiring to her. She is also the author of Not That Tutu! Hiroe lives in Brooklyn, New York.
