Praise

Thirteen previously published Search Press books contributed to the “60 stunning accessories” projects shared here. Some notes before tackling: Sewing machines are mandatory, as is a knowledge of the rudimentary straight and zigzag stitches. Instructions, while ample, are not accompanied with step-by-step photographs. And a number of projects retain a distinctly British flavor: tea cozy, “mug rugs” (place mats for cups), a peg bag (for clothespins). Nonetheless, if reducing the height of the fabric scrap pile is a goal, these will render a significant decrease. Upfront are the how-tos, featuring embroidery stitches and appliqué and quilting techniques. Novices would be well advised to first consult a beginner crafts book in quilting and appliqué, as well as in the use and care of sewing machines. Projects include level of difficulty from one (easiest) to three (most difficult) as well as a color photograph of the finished object. Unfortunately, projects are not separated by category, so it will take some flipping through to find a suitable design. Includes templates (most are actual size).

Postcard Reviews - October 2020
Love to Sew is a project just packed with fun projects that you will enjoy making.
Filled with gift ideas, things for the home or just to make for yourself, you will never be lost for a good sewing idea or project.
Some projects are very simple to make while others can be a little more challenging. So depending on your sewing expertise there is something for every stitcher.
There are templates included, some will need to be enlarged, each project has full instructions, and each one has a difficulty level.
There are projects for every event so you will not be short for ideas, and each design is wonderfully practical.
The projects will enable you use up your stash of fat quarters and scraps, and will also build your sewing experience and skills.
I love this book..
