There’s always room for another underwear book, and this one will keep kids giggling from cover to cover. Octopants and Turtle’s pal Puffer Fish has lost his favorite pair of underwear (pirate themed!), so the friends set out to help Puffer Fish find them. They pack some snacks and begin to search their undersea town, making stops at the Lobster Laundry, Mussel’s Fitness Club, and Mermaid’s Hair (a salon), but the briefs are nowhere to be found. It is not until they reach the shipwreck that the friends discover an underwear-themed pirate party underway, where seafaring scalawags are sporting underpants of all shapes, patterns, and sizes. When a great white shark appears, everyone is terrified until they realize he has come to party—and his pirate hat resembles a certain pair of missing underwear. Bright cartoon illustrations capture the story’s humor, and little ones will love pointing out the various underpants throughout the book. A laugh-out-loud book for your silliest readers. –Booklist
