Demons have no hearts, but sometimes neither do humans . . . The Eisner Award-nominated webcomic by Velinxi continues in this second volume.
Now a full-fledged disciple of Chu Tian, the Demon with a Thousand Faces, Shen Yuhua is already getting into all kinds of trouble. With the help of her loyal servant Swallowtail and visiting disciple Leng Feng, Yuhua sets out to track down a Huli jing—a shape-shifting fox spirit leading demon attacks on Chaoyang Palace.
Their investigation leads them to a local brothel that also houses an elderly cook and her grandson Shan Kai, whom the old woman insists would make an excellent cultivator. Yuhua is determined to find and kill the Huli jing before it causes any further harm—and before Chu Tian stirs up any demonic mischief on the side. But as Yuhua listens to the troubled stories of the brothel employees, she begins to question whether the high and mighty Shen clan is always on the side of justice . . .
Volume 2 collects episodes 21–41 of the webcomic Daughter of a Thousand Faces.
