“Can whales see the stars?” I asked.
“I don’t know,” Papa said. “Why not find out?”
And so the girl sets out to sea, in a little boat manned by a canine captain and a feline first mate. She sees dolphins, and sharks, and so many stars… but no whales. Still, the girl is determined: she will not stop until she finds the answer she is looking for.
Filled with luminous art, this poetic picture book celebrates curiosity, imagination, and the many wonders of the natural world all around us.
