The hunt is on! In this spellbinding sequel to the The Grimlore Game, a misfit orphan with cursebreaking magic teams up with her wallflower cousin and a talking cat to solve the mysteries buried deep within their gothic, curse-ridden town.
Being a cursebreaker isn’t easy work. Just ask thirteen-year-old Kit, who managed to solve the mystery of Grimlore Manor—only to discover a large-scale curse has overtaken the nearby town of Hearthstone. The townspeople’s most beloved possessions have begun to disappear, and no one can figure out why. Soon enough, Kit and her hapless cousin Harlow find themselves on a dangerous scavenger hunt through a town riddled with curse creatures, booby traps, and haunting family secrets.
As time begins to run out, people begin to disappear too. Kit will have to dive deep into her family’s past if she wants to have any hope of saving the town. After all. . . what use is a cursebreaker if she can’t break a curse?
