To kiss the girl or not? One fateful decision leads to two very different parallel futures … but only one true love.
Twenty years ago, when the cops showed up at a high school party, Amelia Waxler hid in a pantry with her friend Grace. Just inches apart, their eyes locked—and in that heartbeat, Amelia’s life split in two.
In one timeline, Amelia kisses Grace, realizes she’s gay, and after their disastrous breakup, spends the next twenty years running from commitment. In the other, she panics, flees, and gets both of them arrested, an experience that propels her toward a life of over-responsibility without ever figuring out what she truly wants.
Now, both Amelias are back in their hometown of Santa Monica after their lives unravel, and they find themselves drawn to grown-up Grace. Can either Amelia overcome the baggage of the life she chose and find her way back to the girl who started it all? An openhearted homage to Sliding Doors, this is a story about the choices that shape us and the possibility that no matter which path we take, we might still find our way to who we’re meant to be.
