The Starving Dark

An action-packed and dark debut romantasy, perfect for fans of Quicksilver.

An Amazon warrior imbued with the powers of the goddess of death goes on a mission for revenge – and it’s personal.

For the past ten years, nineteen-year-old Amazon warrior Seren has been in hiding, honing her skills to become a priestess blessed by the goddess of death. Her goal: land a mercenary contract working for a powerful ruler in the Seven Realms so that she can enter the royal court and exact revenge on the queen who murdered her family.

But the goddess of death did more than bless Seren – she gave her a piece of her death magic. Suddenly, Seren is faced with multiple terrifying facts:

1. She is the goddess’s vessel.

2. Her powers threaten the Realms’ fragile peace.

3. She is a target for the draconic godkillers that have awakened after years of slumber.

Even more troubling is the fact that once she finally lands the contract, she finds that things are more complicated than she’d first thought, especially once she’s paired with the queen’s handsome and distractingly charming general, Aethon, and ordered to use her newfound abilities to slay mysterious beasts plaguing the queendom.

As if balancing her plot for revenge with her growing feelings for Aethon isn’t enough, Seren soon discovers a sinister plot to conquer the Seven Realms. The only way to stop is to master her death magic. But all power comes at a price – and Seren must decide if destroying a monster is worth becoming one herself.

An intense new fantasy with a slowburn romance from a debut author, The Starving Dark will have readers engrossed from the first page.
