Escorted by four guides and four novice nuns on expeditions, the saviors venture deep into the jungle. The mission begins as a tragicomic adventure of diminutive religious figures facing the ferocity of the tropics, but as the days pass and General Máximo Agrícola’s hidden plans advance, the jungle becomes both the stage—and the victim—of the most perverse human cruelty.
