SPRINGING INTO A SUMMER OF SELF-DISCOVERY

It’s spring in volume 11, and Zetsubou-sensei and the students master the art of detuning; that is, purposefully inhibiting he performance of something. Then, during summer vacation, they go on journeys of self-discovery, confront a mob of zealous over-preotectors, and dodge spy accusations ont he beach. Finally, back in the classroom, they are caught off-guard by surprise inspections masterminded by Zetsubou-sensei and Chiri Kitsu!

Zetsubou-sensei and the students go on several unusual class trips, including an archaeological expedition, the Museum of Unnatural History, and Daisan Sentaku City– the city of the inexplicable third alternative. You know, like, when you’re trying to decide whether to get a puppy or a kitten… and you end up with a crocodile? The students also practice selling themselves (legally), getting over their self-entitlement, the art of “soft landings”– a.k.a. breaking bad news gently.
