Amanda Gorman is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history and a passionate advocate for environmental issues, racial equality, and gender justice. In 2017, she became the first National Youth Poet Laureate of the United States. A cum laude graduate of Harvard University, she studied sociology and began writing at a young age.
