Penelope Mason

Penelope Mason wrote articles and presented papers on a broad range of subjects in Japanese art. She was on the faculty at Florida State University in Tallahassee. A graduate of Swarthmore College, Mason held a Ph.D. from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts. A Japan Foundation Fellow and an NEH Junior Humanist, Mason spent extensive time in Japan.
