Marion Day

Marion Day is known for her versatility and humour. Since graduating from the National Theatre School of Canada, she has appeared as an actor, singer and instrumentalist in classical theatre and new work. Roles at the Stratford Festival include Juliet, (Romeo and Juliet); Ophelia (Hamlet); Lavinia in Titus Andronicus; Jessica in The Merchant of Venice; and the title role in The Country Wife. Recent new work includes fifteen roles in The Boy in the Moon by Emil Sher based on the memoir by journalist Ian Brown, and six Canadian politicians including a young Stephen Harper described as “terrifying” in Michael Healey’s 1979 (GCTC and the Shaw Festival). Marion’s first audiobook was released by Penguin Random House this year: Close to Hugh by Marina Endicott.
