Michelle A. Williams
About the Author
Michelle A. Williams is Dean of the Faculty, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Angelopoulos Professor in Public Health and International Development at the Harvard Chan School and Harvard Kennedy School. An internationally renowned epidemiologist, public health scientist, and award-winning educator, she is a member of several professional associations, including the National Academy of Medicine and the American Epidemiological Society. Williams received her undergraduate degree in biology and genetics from Princeton University in 1984. She has a master’s in civil engineering from Tufts University, and master’s and doctoral degrees in epidemiology from Harvard. Since 2021, she has been a regular contributor to The Hill.
Linda Marsa is an award-winning investigative journalist and a contributing editor at Discover. She is a former Los Angeles Times reporter and has written two books, Prescription for Profits, about the pharmaceutical industry, and Fevered: Why a Hotter Planet Will Harm Our Health and How We Can Save Ourselves, which the New York Times called “gripping to read.”
