Meehan Crist is writer in residence in biological sciences at Columbia University. She is a frequent contributor and podcast host for the London Review of Books. Her work has appeared in publications such as the New York Times, The Atlantic, The Nation, Scientific American, and Science, and was selected for Best American Science and Nature Writing. Awards and honors include the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award, a Silvers Grant for Work in Progress, a Sloan Foundation Book Grant, and fellowships from MacDowell, The Blue Mountain Center, Ucross, and Yaddo. She is the author of Is It OK to Have a Child?
