Lise Olsen

Lise Olsen is a Texas-based investigative reporter, editor, and author. Her reports in three states over twenty years contributed to the prosecutions of a former congressman and a federal judge, inspired laws and reforms, helped solve cold cases, restored names to unidentified murder victims, and freed dozens of wrongfully-held prisoners. Her work has appeared in the Texas Observer, NBC News, the Houston Chronicle, Texas Monthly and other outlets. Her work has been featured in Netflix’s The Texas Killing Fields, in CNN’s The Wrong Man about the innocence claims of executed offender Ruben Cantu, and the six-part A&E series on the victims of a 1970s serial killer, The Eleven. Olsen has taught and presented at conferences and workshops in a dozen countries, including for IRE, ICFJ, and the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas.
