About the Author

Ellie Hunja is an author, social worker, wife, and mother of three living in Los Angeles. Her writing flows from her deep love of people and aims to cultivate connection, build empathy, and inspire growth.

Focusing on parenting, faith, men­tal health, social justice, child autism, and more, she writes at EllieHunja.com and for websites such as Her View from Home, Thought Catalog, Equipping Godly Women, and The Mighty. Ellie grew up in Southfield, Michigan, and attended Georgetown University, where she earned a BA in sociology, and the University of Michigan, where she earned a master of social work degree. She lives in Los Angeles and serves on the leadership team at her church, Epiphany Fellowship.

Ellie loves making memories with her family, eating des­serts of all kinds, traveling, musical theater, tear-jerker movies, Motown music, and being her loved ones’ biggest cheerleader.
