Sidura Ludwig
About the Author
Sidura Ludwig is an award-winning author of books for adults and children. Her short-story collection You Are Not What We Expected (House of Anansi, 2020) won the Vine Literary Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Danuta Gleed Award. Her novel Holding My Breath (Key Porter Books, 2007) was shortlisted for the Winnipeg Book Award. She has two books for kids out in 2024: her debut picture book, Rising (Candlewick Press), and her debut middle grade novel Swan (Nimbus Publishing) in the fall.
Sidura holds a Master of Journalism from Carleton University, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Originally from Winnipeg, MB, Sidura has lived in Toronto, Ottawa and Birmingham, UK. She currently lives in Thornhill, ON with her husband, three children and a geriatric Havanese dog
