Andrew Gold was a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who worked on everything from TV theme songs (including “Thank You For Being a Friend” for The Golden Girls), to Linda Ronstadt records (like her breakthrough album Heart Like a Wheel), to his own top-40 hits, such as “Spooky, Scary Skeletons” and “Lonely Boy”—and so much more.
