Canwen Xu is a writer living in New York City, but she grew up in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Idaho, three of the nine American states where cows outnumber people. Her TEDx talk from her senior year of high school, titled “I Am Not Your Asian Stereotype,” has been watched over three million times. She graduated from Columbia College, Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and computer science.
