Catherine Smart

Catherine Smart is a food writer, podcaster, recipe developer, and entrepreneur. She is the creator and host of the Not From Concentrate podcast and newsletter for food lovers with busy brains. Catherine was an original cast member of the Emmy-winning TV show Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street, a contributor to Milk Street Radio, and co-founded the sauce and dressing company not just co. Her recipes and writing have appeared in The Infatuation, Saveur, The Boston Globe, Departures, and Serious Eats, and she’s a recipient of The Les Dames Escoffier Legacy Award for food writing. Catherine holds a Masters in Gastronomy from Boston University, and lives in Somerville, MA with her husband, their two young boys, and an always-hungry black lab.
