The popular Now Write! creative writing series published by Tarcher was started by Laurie’s aunt, Sherry Ellis. Laurie served as Author/Editor or co-Author/Editor for three of the Now Write! anthologies – Screenwriting, Mysteries, and Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. She created a similar compilation for actors: Now Act! Insight, Advice and Preparation Processes.

With a filmmaking background, Laurie has written well over 100 produced film, video and audio scripts across education, marketing and entertainment. She brings a collaborative approach to story development consultation for production companies, their corporate and government clientele, and fellow writers and filmmakers.
