Peggy Archer writes fiction, poetry, and nonfiction for children. A Hippy-Hoppy Toad won the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators Work-in-Progress award for picture-book text. Peggy grew up in Gary, Indiana, with one sister and two brothers. She enjoyed writing as a child, but it was not until she had children of her own that she began to write with the thought of being published. A retired registered nurse, she lives with her husband in O’Fallon, Missouri, where she writes full-time. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading mysteries, doing puzzles, walking, line dancing, and spending time with her family. Read more about Peggy and her books on her website at PeggyArcher.com.
