About the Author
For more than 30 years, Marylou Ambrose has been an award-winning medical author. She has a BS in journalism from Syracuse University, and her written work has appeared in numerous publications, including Nursing, Nursing Life, Learning, and The Weekly Almanac. Marylou is the author of several books, including Diabetes: Examining Insulin and Blood Sugar and Investigating Diabetes: Real Facts for Real Lives. She has also coauthored several books with colleague Veronica Deisler, including Eating Disorders: Examining Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Right Words for Any Occasion.
