Bears Are Curious

Joyce Milton was the author of dozens of nonfiction books for children, including Gorillas: Gentle Giants of the Forest; Wild, Wild Wolves; Whales: The Gentle Giants; and many more early readers. She was a former librarian and lived for many decades in Brooklyn, NY pursuing her writing career. She passed away in 2008.

CHRISTOPHER SANTORO has been illustrating children’s books for over 30 years. His titles include Open the Barn Door, Open the Garage Door, and It’s Haunted! He has been honored by the Society of Illustrators, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the American Library Association, and The New Yorker.
