After being vexed, harassed, threatened (not really, but, what the heck, it’s my note), and chivied by readers to write this particular tale, here ’tis: Stolen Crown, the story of the War of the Usurper. It is a tale that at its conclusion marks the end of the Third Era. (In the books that I have written, chronologically the story of Stolen Crown occurs between the tale told in Dragondoom and the one told in The Iron Tower.)
You know I am quite proud of this book, not only because of the story it tells, but the fact that each chapter begins with a map showing the area where that chapter takes place. I believe they give a sense of scope to the story. By the bye, in case you are wondering, these maps were all hand drawn by me as needed during the telling of the various tales of the Mithgar saga, and I have included them here (though a couple have been touched up a bit just for Stolen Crown). I think you’ll find them to your liking.
Regardless, I want to thank my readers for vexing, harassing, threatening, and chivying me to write this story.
I hope you find it worthy.
