Dr. Seuss, also known as Theodor Seuss Geisel, is one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time. The books he wrote and illustrated under the name Dr. Seuss (along with others he wrote but did not illustrate, under the pseudonyms Theo. LeSieg and Rosetta Stone) have been published in fifty languages. Hundreds of millions of copies have found their way into homes and hearts around the world. Dr. Seuss’s long list of awards includes Caldecott Honors, the Pulitzer Prize, and eight honorary doctorates. Works based on his original stories have won three Oscars, three Emmys, three Grammys, and a Peabody.

Together they have illustrated over 50 children’s books, including Dr. Seuss’s My Many Colored Days, Garrison Keillor’s Cat, You Better Come Home, and Jon Scieszka’s The Frog Prince, Continued. Their 2000 release, I Walk At Night, was recognized as one of the New York Times‘s Best Illustrated Books. They are the recipients of a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators and have been recognized by Communication Arts, Print, and Graphis. Lou and Steve provided set and character development for Pixar’s Toy Story and A Bug’s Life.
