Stacy McAnulty is an award-winning, Indie-bestselling children’s book author, and former mechanical engineer, who dreams of someday being a dog therapist, a correspondent for The Daily Show, and an astronaut. She has written 40+ books (both fiction and nonfiction) for young readers, including middle-grade novels: Forever Twelve, The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl, and Millionaires for the Month, chapter book series, The Dino Files, and picture books, Excellent Ed, and Max Explains Everything. Most of her books feature STEM or an adorable dog—some include both. Deborah Hocking is an illustrator who lives in Portland, Oregon. For six years, she worked as a cook and gardener at a château in France, but now she has the incredible privilege of spending her days drawing for children. She is the illustrator of the nonfiction picture book Build, Beaver, Build! Life at the Longest Beaver Dam and The Great Henry Hopendower.
