Hoy estoy… Triste es un libro de la serie «Hoy estoy…», una colección de cuentos para trabajar las emociones con los más pequeños.

Una historia sencilla, dulce y tierna para ayudar a nuestros hijos a gestionar y superar la TRISTEZA.

Llamamos «tristeza» a la sensación de abatimiento, desgana y dolor que nos abruma en situaciones de pérdida, decepción, separación, frustración o soledad. Se suele asociar al llanto y es la emoción más empática, pues nos resulta muy fácil de reconocer en los demás.

Los niños pueden sentirla cuando se separan de sus padres o amigos, al final de las vacaciones, si se les rompe un juguete importante, muere una mascota o se suspende una excursión que les ilusionaba… También cuando ven llorar a otra persona o notan su tristeza.

Aunque se suele clasificar como negativa, la tristeza es muy necesaria: nos ayuda a recibir apoyo, nos concede tiempo para asumir las situaciones y, junto con el llanto, nos desahoga.

“Today I Feel… Sad is a book from the Today I Feel… series, a collection of stories for helping little kids understand their emotions.

A simple, sweet story to help our children manage and overcome SADNESS.We call “sadness” the feeling of dejection, lack of enthusiasm, and pain that weighs us down in situations of loss, disappointment, separation, frustration, or loneliness.

It is usually associated with crying, and it is the most empathic emotion since it is usually very easy for us to recognize in other people. Children can feel it when they are separated from their parents or friends, at the end of vacation, if an important toy breaks, if a pet dies, or if an exciting trip is canceled. And they also sense it when they see another person feeling sad or crying.

Although it is usually classified as a negative emotion, sadness is very necessary: it helps us receive support, it grants us time to come to terms with a situation, and along with crying, it allows us to vent. “We can’t choose what to feel, but we can decide what to do with what we feel, and of course, we can teach our children to do what is best with that which they feel.””
