Jane Goodall is a preeminent anthropologist and conservationist and the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees. She is the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and a United Nations Messenger of Peace. She is the author of Hope for Animals and Their World, My Life with the Chimpanzees, and Reason for Hope.

Alan Marks studied graphic design at the Bath Academy of Art in England and was awarded Best Artist at Medway College of Art and Design. He worked for magazines and newspapers before finding his true calling as a picture book artist. His illustrations grace many books include several minedition titles by Jane Goodall.
