Se inicia así una carrera contrarreloj que el detective lleva a cabo junto a Sara, joven pelirroja, osada y absolutamente libre. Mientras el mundo parece sumirse en el apocalipsis, ambos recorren la ciudad en busca de respuestas.

In the middle of a Madrid ravaged by the virus, detective Ulises Lombardi is commissioned to find a hundred year old man who has disappeared. The old man has an important secret that connects with Lombardi’s past, a guerrilla in Argentina from his youth, who went into exile after witnessing torture and horror. Thus begins a race against time that the detective carries out with Sara, a young redhead, daring and absolutely free. As the world seems to be plunged into an apocalypse, they both scour the city in search of answers.

During the Plague is a novel that recovers the classic elements of the noir genre and updates them. With an enveloping style full of references, Daniel Serrano builds a story about defeat, failure, disenchantment, death and also love.
